- Inositol Hexanicotinate lowers LDL cholesterol, Lp(a) lipoprotein, triglyceride, and fibrinogen levels while simultaneously raising HDL cholesterol levels.
- Guggulipid Extract contains ketonic steroid compounds – guggulsterones – that account for its lipid-lowering action. Guggulsterones significantly lower serum triglycerides, LDL and VLDL cholesterol and they raise levels of HDL cholesterol.
- Beta-Sitosterol is a plant sterol that has been found to reduce blood levels of cholesterol by blocking its absorption. Beta-Sitosterol is similar in structure to cholesterol, and is able to displace cholesterol from micelles in the small intestines, which then inhibits cholesterol absorption.
- Turmeric Extract (Curcumin longa) the Curcumin content of Turmeric may lower serum cholesterol levels and help to prevent and treat Atherosclerosis. Turmeric may also inhibit abnormal blood clotting by inhibiting platelet aggregation and by lowering elevated fibrinogen levels.
